A school-based Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available in the Saint Johns, FL area, serving K-12 students. This contract role spans the current school year and involves working on-site within Duval County Public Schools. The position requires delivering speech-language therapy services to students with mild to moderate needs, ranging from Pre-K through 12th grade.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language pathology services to an estimated caseload of approximately 60 students.
- Serve an itinerant role, traveling between multiple school locations within the district.
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans based on student assessments.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational staff to support student communication goals.
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with district and state guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Active Florida Department of Health Speech Language Pathologist licensure required.
- Experience working with a school-aged population (Pre-K through 12th grade) preferred.
- Comfort with itinerant service delivery across multiple campuses.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a team of educators and specialists.
Hours & Location:
- Full-time, 35 hours per week.
- On-site position based in Saint Johns, Florida.
- Service delivery within multiple schools across the Jacksonville area.
